Hi all,
My elementary school media center just received a new FLIP videocamera. I recorded this tour with it. We just played the tour on our new SMARTBOARD. We're so hi-tech. I hope you enjoy the tour of the media center.

That is so good! You are showing the media center and demonstrating a technology tool at the same time.
Thanks for viewing. I had fun making it, and figuring out how to download it onto the BLOG. I've learned it's called a VLOG.
What is a FLIP camera? How is it different than a regular digital video camera? I love your media center. It looks like a lot of fun.
I enjoyed viewing your media center tour at your elementary school. Nice presentation, and the media center is well organized.
A FLIP camera is an inexpensive plug and play video camera. It only holds 30 minutes ($100) or up to 60 minutes ($180), but the camera port plugs right into a laptop for instant download and view. Oprah listed it as a "must have". Our media specialist purchased them for student use...mainly for our 5th graders to film their exhibition presentations. Check out www.theflip.com.
Loved the tour. I would like to know how many students you serve? Thanks.
At the main campus, we serve about 550 students. This is the media center you see here. At the primary campus, we serve about 350 students (k and 1st grades). Thanks for viewing our BLOG.
Hey its your brother in B'ham. I enjoyed the tour, it looks like a fun place to work. Your blog looks great. Talk to you soon.
